Main Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Provide superior service to airline customers in accordance with their requirements.

  • Mentor and develop employees to prepare for succession and promote opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Human Resources and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) teams to implement effective training and development programs.
  • Hold the supervisory team accountable for the rapid and efficient management of all employee-related issues, with an emphasis on improving performance and documentation quality.
  • Ensure compliance with the reliability program in terms of attendance and punctuality.
  • Ensure that there is no abuse of company property.

Health, Safety, and Security

  • Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with all Menzies Aviation's health and safety policies and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, municipal, and airport laws and regulations, including the display of all mandatory government documents.
  • Conduct thorough, accurate, and timely investigations, while establishing clear expectations and accountability measures for continuous process improvement.

Department Coordination

  • Ensure clear and effective communication between administrative services, payroll, and the Health, Safety, and Training departments.
  • Coordinate staffing needs with the station administration to support recruitment activities.

  • Be able to write correspondence and analytical documents to effectively communicate employee and operational information.

  • Possess extensive experience in ramp handling operations and a thorough understanding of different operational departments.
  • Be able to obtain and maintain all required security clearances.
  • Possess excellent knowledge of the IATA Standard Ground Handling Agreement (SGHA).
  • Be familiar with General Operations Manuals (GOM), airline procedures, airport procedures, and applicable airport regulations.
  • Be proficient in international aviation safety and security standards and demonstrate a genuine commitment to promoting these standards within the organization.
  • Be service-oriented to meet customer expectations by providing excellent service.
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including:
