Working Conditions

  • Starting from $55,000 according to experience
  • Full-time permanent position, in-person, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, flexible between 8 AM and 6 PM

Role and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Payroll and Human Resources Technician plays a key role in the administrative management of the employee lifecycle and ensures the accuracy of payroll processing.

Payroll and Employee Administration

  • Perform complete payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees according to established schedules;
  • Verify and validate timesheets, absences, vacations, leaves, bonuses, and overtime;
  • Make payroll adjustments and follow up on necessary corrections;
  • Produce employment records (ER) and follow up with government agencies;
  • Validate government remittances and produce required reports;
  • Participate in the preparation of end-of-year documents (T4, Government Summaries);
  • Keep employee files up to date in HR and payroll systems.

Human Resources

  • Perform administrative procedures related to hiring, status changes, and departures;
  • Prepare welcome and integration documents for new employees;
  • Manage administrative follow-up of collective insurance and social benefits;
  • Answer employee questions regarding payroll, social benefits, internal policies, and procedures;
  • Follow up on absences, disabilities, leaves, and administrative files;
  • Collaborate on various HR projects (training, internal communications, process improvement, etc.);
  • Participate in the recruitment process (job posting, resume screening, interview coordination);
  • Perform all other related administrative tasks.
