Reporting to the Vice President, Planning and Methods, the Director, Central Planning plays a key role in the governance, transformation, and strategic alignment of the Planning and Methods function across Bombardier's operations. The Director is responsible for coordinating the organizational roadmap, ensuring the cohesion of planning schedules, driving the management of the multi-site project portfolio, and supporting executive decision-making in relation to business priorities, risks, budgets, workforce, and strategic initiatives.

In this role, the Director acts as a convergence point between planning, methods, operations, finance, human resources, programs, sales, contracts, legal affairs, and customer account management teams to ensure integrated execution of organizational priorities, including transformation initiatives such as the migration to S/4HANA and the management of the Client Horizon for Global and Challenger products. The Director also governs the function, supports the Vice President in establishing strategic priorities and tracking organizational performance, while leading, developing, and mobilizing a multidisciplinary team in an environment focused on accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Develop and coordinate the organizational transformation roadmap for the Planning and Methods function, in line with Bombardier's business objectives, including the migration to the S/4HANA system.
• Ensure alignment and cohesion of schedules established by planning teams across Bombardier to ensure the feasibility of production plans, support change management, and facilitate decision-making.
• Drive the management of the multi-site project portfolio, including the development of roadmaps, planning, and tracking of budgets, investments, workforce, and strategic initiatives, while ensuring proactive risk management.
• Lead strategic and tactical initiatives requiring the coordination of multidisciplinary teams (operations, sales, finance, contracts, legal affairs, customer account management, product planning, etc.) to support delivery commitments and contractual obligations of the Global and Challenger programs (Client Horizon Management).
• Govern the Planning and Methods function by supporting the Vice President in establishing strategic priorities, tracking organizational performance, and deploying action plans.
• Provide executive visibility on key indicators, risks, challenges, and opportunities to support decision-making by senior management.
• Lead, develop, and mobilize a multidisciplinary team composed of project managers and analysts.
• Establish priorities, objectives, and development plans for team members.
• Drive process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Foster a work environment focused on accountability, collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence.

Ensure the development of the successor and contribute to the talent management strategy within the organization.

How will you thrive in this role?

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• MBA, an asset.
• More than 15 years of experience in the aerospace sector or in a complex manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated experience in organizational or operational transformation.
• Strong strategic vision combined with a proven ability to execute.
• Excellent ability to manage complexity, ambiguity, and multiple priorities.
• Motivational leadership and managerial courage.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Excellent understanding of Lean concepts and best practices for continuous improvement.
• Excellent business sense.
