Are you passionate about quality, learning, and aviation? We are looking for a strategic and rigorous professional to lead quality assurance initiatives within our competency management framework. As an active member of our central organizational learning team, this role is responsible for ensuring the integrity, consistency, and efficiency of our compliance mechanisms and meeting the requirements of the Quality Management System (QMS) as well as other internal compliance requirements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a quality-focused mindset, expertise in impact analysis, tracking, and report production, and a commitment to continuous improvement to support team capability development and performance excellence.

What will you contribute to the team?

  • Provide consultations on learning processes and conduct regular checks to ensure compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
  • Develop tracking and measurement tools to govern measures, projects, findings, and verification schedules to ensure the effectiveness and quality of competency-based implementation.
  • Manage change requests for competency management quality documentation and mobilize internal stakeholders to implement necessary changes.
  • Design, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes for competency management systems and programs.
  • Represent the learning team in discussions to address quality issues related to training and support implementation.
  • In partnership with central LO team members, develop and apply standards, guidelines, and best practices for competency mapping, assessment, and validation.
  • Validate that training evidence data recorded in the Learning Management System (LMS) meets the standards and regulatory requirements of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities; prepare reports and recommendations for leadership.
  • Provide training and support to internal stakeholders on quality standards and expectations.
  • Stay up-to-date on regulatory requirements related to competency management and quality assurance.

How will you thrive in this role?

  • You have completed post-secondary studies in education, aviation/aerospace, quality assurance, or a related field.
  • You have at least five (5) years of experience in quality assurance or compliance management in a regulated manufacturing environment. (Experience in adult learning is an asset)
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and business acumen to assess impact, risks, and develop effective solutions.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French to interact with stakeholders and team members (Spanish is an asset).
  • You have strong organizational skills and a high degree of flexibility to adapt to changing operational needs and priorities; your creativity is particularly evident in ambiguous situations.
  • You promote continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of aircraft manufacturing processes and familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as Transport Canada and FAA requirements under the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CAR) are assets.
