What will you contribute to the team?

  • Act as a focal point between Bombardier's multidisciplinary teams and engineering suppliers
  • Prepare aircraft interior engineering packages for Challenger 3500 suppliers (Kick off, PDR and CDR)
  • Validate engineering certification documents (Design Compliance Report) according to regulatory requirements (Transport Canada, FAA, and others)
  • Guide engineering suppliers to understand and follow Bombardier's processes and best practices
  • Develop and propose opportunities to improve product/process quality (e.g., weight reduction, production ease, cycle time reduction, etc.)
  • Review engineering input data (specifications, customer deliverables, etc.) to ensure completeness and uniformity
  • Be vigilant for any engineering risks and communicate them effectively (critical designs, technical risk mitigation, etc.) with your team and management
  • Effectively support and participate in daily, weekly, and monthly engineering meetings (DMM, project review, master plans, etc.)
  • Propose design solutions to RFCs/PCRs (changes) raised by suppliers, engineering, or the method team (production)
  • Participate in aircraft visits to understand technical issues and propose effective short-term, medium-term, and long-term solutions
  • Support the supplier in providing engineering impacts to PCR (internal changes) and C&Os (customer requests)
  • Communicate effectively with peers and higher-level management

How will you thrive in this role?

  • You hold a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • You have 7 to 10 years of experience in aircraft interiors and secondary structure
  • You are comfortable with Catia V5 (modules: part, assembly, drawing)
  • You have good knowledge of MS Office
  • You have good knowledge of Enovia V5 (considered an asset)
  • You have good experience in machining, manufacturing, and assembly (considered an asset)
