YOUR NEXT CHALLENGES:

Reporting to the General Supervisor of Rock Mechanics, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising field control activities and act as a pivot with the Rock Mechanics team to ensure a safe and productive work environment. You will ensure the maintenance of practices, the quality of deliverables (plans/estimates, reports, follow-ups), and the proper functioning of field tracking mechanisms (observations, instrumentation, technical studies, and other technologies).

You will also assume a governance role, ensuring that the field control program and practices are implemented, understood, and applied, particularly through practice update meetings and periodic follow-ups with various stakeholders at the site.

You will ensure that objectives are met while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's values, the Health and Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment.

More specifically, you will perform the following functions:

Coordination and supervision of field control operations

• Supervise the production and quality of support plans and estimates for galleries, infrastructure, and construction sites;
• Ensure the tracking of progress and compliance of support work;
• Ensure the quality control of support products (pull tests, visual inspections, etc.);
• Produce/review daily, monthly, and quarterly reports related to field control and instrumentation;
• Coordinate instrumentation/monitoring programs and data tracking;

Communication, training, and continuous improvement

• Establish/maintain an effective change tracking structure for geotechnical changes via observations, instrumentation, and various studies;
• Coordinate practice update meetings for field control during major changes to ensure uniform communication;

Leadership and SSE culture

• Lead and develop team members (coaching, best practices, standardization), and promote health-safety/environment requirements.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR YOUR SUCCESS

• DEC in mining techniques or geology, or BAC in geology, or
• BAC in engineering (mining or geological);
• Relevant experience in underground mining and/or field control, geotechnics, or rock mechanics;
• Excellent coordination, priority management, communication, and teamwork skills;
• Ability to lead and supervise multidisciplinary resources;
• Valid general explosives permit and Class 5 driver's license;
• Mine Worker Safety Training Module (MWST);
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite;
• Excellent proficiency in site tools (e.g., Deswik and mXrap).
