YOUR NEXT CHALLENGES:

Reporting to the General Operations Supervisor, you will work within the Operations Department of the Concentrator. You will participate in the planning, coordination, and optimization of operations to ensure the achievement of production, safety, quality, and operational efficiency objectives. You will also oversee the management of Coordinator and Trainer teams and contribute to the development of best practices in management.

You will also be called upon to

  • Support the General Operations Supervisor in the daily management of department activities;
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop Coordinators and Trainers under your responsibility and ensure the implementation of established management practices;
  • Ensure the coordination of production activities and the optimal use of human and material resources;
  • Ensure on-site presence to support teams, resolve operational issues, and promote continuous improvement;
  • Collaborate closely with Maintenance, Metallurgy, Environment, Planning, and Health-Safety departments to ensure operational synergy;
  • Participate in the planning and preparation of scheduled shutdowns, ensuring the availability of necessary resources;
  • Contribute to the tracking of operational performance indicators and recommend measures to improve equipment, process, and work method efficiency;
  • Participate in the management of the workforce, including training, skill development, and work organization;
  • Collaborate on the preparation of operational budgets and monitor costs under your responsibility;
  • Maintain a safe work environment by ensuring compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, policies, and procedures;
  • Participate in incident investigations and analyses and ensure the implementation of required corrective measures;
  • Lead and participate in management and communication meetings with work teams;
  • Ensure compliance with applicable environmental requirements in your sector;
  • Perform any other related tasks requested by your supervisor.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS FOR YOUR SUCCESS

  • Hold a degree in mineral processing, mineral technology, metallurgy, chemical engineering, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Possess a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in mineral processing plant operations, along with five (5) years of supervisory experience;
  • Demonstrate mobilizing leadership and strong on-site presence;
  • Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Exhibit autonomy, diligence, and a good sense of organization;
  • Possess excellent communication and collaboration skills;
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office suite tools;
  • Have good knowledge of mineral processing procedures and concentrator operations is a significant asset.
