Its team provides user support, manages technological infrastructure, ensures information security, and deploys digital solutions that support teaching and administrative activities.* *As an IT Technician, you will directly contribute to this mission by providing technical support to students, teachers, and staff.*

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support to users, remotely or in person, and follow up on requests;
  • Install, configure, maintain, and repair workstations, laptops, Chromebooks, and other IT peripherals;
  • Deploy, update, and ensure the proper functioning of software, operating systems, and technological equipment;
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365, Google Workspace for Education, and the main technological tools used at the College;
  • Participate in the management, deployment, and evolution of the IT park using centralized management tools, such as Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM);
  • Provide support for educational technologies, including computer labs, Google Classroom, Vivi, NetSupport School, and Blocksi;
  • Manage the lending, return, and inventory of IT and technological equipment;
  • Collaborate on the DATI's technological projects and the continuous improvement of services;
  • Participate in the preparation of labs, exams, and events requiring IT support;
  • Keep technical documentation up to date and ensure compliance with best practices in information security;
  • Perform, as needed, any other tasks related to the DATI's activities.

Required Qualifications

  • College diploma (DEC) in computer science or a relevant discipline, or any equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • Two to three years of experience as an IT Technician;
  • Proficiency in French, both spoken and written;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
  • Good knowledge of Windows 11 and Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM), or a comparable workstation management tool;
  • Good knowledge of macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and Android environments.

Assets

  • Knowledge of Google Workspace for Education, including Google Classroom and mobile device management;
  • Knowledge of the Octopus software;
  • Knowledge of the Blocksi platform;
  • Knowledge of NetSupport School;
  • Knowledge of the Hector loan management software;
