• Consistently provide professional, friendly, and engaging service
• Ensure the overall safety of guests, colleagues, and premises
• Act as a responsible member of the emergency response team and respond to fires, accidents, security issues, and medical aid calls
• Ensure that all violations of hotel legislation or policy are investigated and reported
• Intervene in all emergency situations, provide first aid, and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) when necessary
• Identify and report fire hazards or health and safety risks
• Report accidents, complaints, criminal activities, and crisis situations, and conduct investigations
• Regularly perform room inspections, cash counts, and manage crowds
• Conduct department-wide key control audits and maintain key control records
• Maintain computer records of all actions in a daily activity report
• Assist guests with hotel facilities in an informative and helpful manner
• Coordinate with emergency services (police, fire department, ambulance) to ensure hotel safety
• Ensure the proper functioning of the fire alarm system control panel
• Adhere to department policies, procedures, and service standards
• Adhere to all security policies
• Perform any other related tasks

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a security position required (minimum 4 years of experience)
• Must possess a security agent (private security) license from the Private Security Bureau (BSP)
• Must be available for night shifts
• Ability to use Microsoft Windows applications required
• First aid certification/CPR required
• Excellent oral communication skills in French and English, to easily understand and discuss with an international clientele
• Professional appearance required
• Interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Responsible and reliable
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work as a team with colleagues
• Ability to focus on guests' needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
