- Part-time, permanent position
- Consistently provide professional, friendly, and engaging service
- Ensure the overall safety of guests, colleagues, and premises
- Act as a responsible member of the emergency response team and respond to fires, accidents, security issues, and medical aid calls
- Ensure that all violations of hotel legislation or policy are investigated and reported
- Intervene in all emergency situations, provide first aid, and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) when necessary
- Identify and report fire hazards or health and safety risks
- Report accidents, complaints, criminal activities, and crisis situations, and conduct investigations
- Regularly perform room inspections, cash counts, and manage crowds
- Conduct department-wide key control audits and maintain key control records
- Maintain computer records of all actions in a daily activity report
- Assist guests with hotel facilities in an informative and helpful manner
- Coordinate with emergency services (police, fire department, ambulance) to ensure hotel safety
- Ensure the proper functioning of the fire alarm system control panel
- Adhere to department policies, procedures, and service standards
- Adhere to all security policies
- Perform any other related tasks
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a security position required (minimum 4 years of experience)
- Must possess a security agent (private security) license from the Private Security Bureau (BSP)
- Must be available for night shifts
- Ability to use Microsoft Windows applications required
- First aid certification/CPR required
- Excellent oral communication skills in French and English, to easily understand and discuss with an international clientele
- Professional appearance required
- Interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Responsible and reliable
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work as a team with colleagues
- Ability to focus on guests' needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
