MINISO is expanding in Quebec and we are looking for dynamic, motivated and ambitious people to join our team. We are currently recruiting for a Store Manager position.
Store Location: Galeries Rive Nord (100 Boul. Brien, Repentigny, Quebec J6A 5N4)
The Role
Reporting to the Sector Manager, the Store Manager is responsible for planning, directing, managing, and evaluating all operational activities of the store to support organizational objectives in the short and long term. He/she is responsible for maintaining the store's operational and commercial standards and mobilizing the team to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs). The incumbent is also responsible for building and managing the team, ensuring a positive customer experience, fostering employee engagement, and executing all other tasks assigned by the superior(s), in collaboration with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities
Store Operations Management and Standards Control
- Collaborate with the Sector Manager to establish and achieve revenue, expense, and profit goals; implement best practices and ensure compliance with the company's standards in terms of cleanliness, food safety, pest control, expiration date verification, and workplace safety; establish liaison with relevant regulatory government bodies, if necessary.
- Monitor the company's loss prevention program to minimize inventory theft or loss and implement marketing strategies to support promotional activities.
Key Performance Management
- Manage all sales, cost of goods sold, and gross profits; guide team leaders to achieve budgetary goals while supervising controllable and non-controllable expenses to improve operational profitability and productivity.
- Plan budgets, authorize expenses, and allocate budgets by period; analyze market studies to guide pricing and promotional strategies.
Customer and Staff Management
- Set the example for providing excellent customer service, ensuring that all staff contribute to a positive shopping experience; proactively resolve customer complaints.
- Manage staffing needs, including hiring, turnover rate, and employee engagement; fairly assign tasks, provide timely feedback, and conduct recognition or disciplinary procedures as needed.
- Identify and develop potential talent through training and development plans, offering career progression opportunities.
