Under the supervision of a Unit Director, the incumbent is responsible for sales and development of business insurance. His/her activities must be in line with the strategic orientations, business objectives, operating systems, standards and procedures of the company.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Answer incoming client and prospect calls to advise them on products;
  • Provide high-quality customer service while meeting sales targets;
  • Assess risks and identify specific client needs;
  • Propose personalized insurance solutions based on the specifics of each business (industry, size, specific risks, etc.);
  • Create and update client files in ÉPIC;
  • Issue temporary policy notices, if applicable;
  • Establish payment options for premiums and ensure their collection within established deadlines;
  • Ensure compliance of contractual documents;
  • Request quotes from insurers, follow up, analyze and negotiate the conditions presented by insurers;
  • Perform solicitation and prospecting activities during slower periods;
  • Develop a network of contacts to facilitate the development of new clients;
  • Anticipate and identify growth opportunities;
  • Meet monthly and annual sales targets set by management;
  • Adhere to the philosophy of cross-selling between departments;
  • Perform all other related tasks.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • A.E.C. or D.E.C. in property and casualty insurance or equivalent;
  • License as a Property and Casualty Insurance Broker for Businesses (AMF);
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in sales and customer service in insurance;
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in business insurance;
  • Good knowledge of the main office productivity tools (Microsoft Office Suite) and the software used in the company;
  • Knowledge of the main systems of insurers;
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies;
  • Customer service-oriented, opportunity development and goal achievement;
  • Excellent sales, negotiation and persuasion skills;
  • Ability to work in a team;
  • Creativity, innovation and curiosity;
  • Good autonomy and organizational skills;
  • Problem-solving and priority management-oriented;
  • Excellent communication skills in French, both oral and written;
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, is required daily to respond to calls and emails from anglophone clients, suppliers and partners.
