Under the supervision of the Director of Human Resources, the incumbent will be a significant change agent, ensuring the constant development of a prevention culture within the plant. Specifically: Your Responsibilities

Be a key actor and work in concert with all intervenants from different sectors (production, maintenance, human resources, employees, and union) to identify and eliminate workplace accident, injury, and occupational illness risks;

Advise and take action with intervenants to achieve accident severity and frequency reduction objectives;

Conduct rigorous and meticulous accident investigations, plant and corporate audits, and complete the required documentation;

Coordinate and facilitate different committees, including health and safety committees and monthly informational meetings;

Coordinate and ensure the implementation of activities related to the annual action plan and monitor its progress;

Interact at all levels of the organization and be an active and present person within operations and production sectors;

Requirements

• University degree in an appropriate discipline (OHS, Ergonomics, etc);

Experience in a unionized industrial environment, an asset;

• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations;
• Availability to work evening and night shifts, as needed;
• Good computer skills (Word, Excel, etc);
