The Team Lead - MedSci provides leadership, structure, and operational oversight to the MedSci sales team across inside and outside sales initiatives while managing key house accounts and supporting all bulk sales initiatives. The role ensures consistent execution and strong team alignment by coaching representatives, monitoring performance, and coordinating day-to-day activities to maximize the performance of the team. The ideal candidate works well independently, is a strong team player, and is an excellent communicator within a rapidly changing environment. The Team Lead also provides daily, weekly, and monthly statistical reporting to management, manages sales schedules, approves timesheets and expenses, and composes required documentation.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Coordinate inside and outside sales initiatives to maximize team performance.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop sales representatives to strengthen skills and consistency.
  • Monitor individual and team performance, tracking and maintaining call KPIs and sales reporting.
  • Conduct daily/weekly team huddles and ensure clear, consistent field communication.
  • Drive accountability against targets and support performance-improvement plans where needed.
  • Approve timecards and expenses for inside and outside sales representatives.
  • Manage sales schedules and balance workload across the team.
  • Generate and prepare commission payout reporting.
  • Perform data mining and analysis to support decision-making.
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly statistical reports to management.
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of sales events, including conferences and training.
  • Take the lead on required documentation and communicate relevant information to the sales department.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure issues are handled promptly.
  • Provide administrative support as required, including support for Bulk sale requests and Key Accounts.

Qualifications

  • College degree in Science or Business as an asset.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years' proven experience in sales, with experience leading or coordinating a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, monitor, and develop a sales team.
  • A team player with a high level of dedication.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational ability with the capacity to multitask.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Travel: Up to two (2) weeks per year for participation in trade shows, programs, and training sessions.
