Groupe VIF is looking for an Automation and Robotics Programmer-Designer passionate about new technologies, innovation, and the development of high-performance automated solutions.

You will participate in exciting projects in industrial automation and robotics, from design to commissioning, while collaborating with a dynamic multidisciplinary team.

Your Role

As a Programmer-Designer, you will be responsible for designing, programming, integrating, and optimizing automated and robotic systems. You will actively contribute to project completion by ensuring the performance, reliability, and safety of the developed solutions.

Main Responsibilities

Design and Development

Analyze customer and project requirements.

Design automated systems integrating robots, PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networks.

Develop technical solutions tailored to production objectives.

Participate in equipment, component, and technology selection.

Conduct technical validations and feasibility analyses.

Design user-friendly and efficient operator interfaces (HMIs).

Programming and Integration

Program programmable logic controllers (PLCs) in Ladder, FBD, or Structured Text.

Develop and optimize robotic and HMI programs.

Integrate robotic equipment into control systems.

Perform simulations, functional tests, and validations.

Participate in customer commissioning and startup.

Diagnose and resolve technical issues.

Technical Support and Continuous Improvement

Provide technical support to manufacturing, installation, and maintenance teams.

Participate in technical reviews and risk analyses.

Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards.

Document programs, test procedures, and equipment configurations.

Contribute to continuous improvement of products and work methods.

Required Profile DEC or BAC in automation, robotics, industrial electronics, or related field.

Experience in PLC, HMI, and industrial robotics programming.

Good knowledge of industrial networks and control systems.

Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Team spirit, autonomy, and organizational skills.

Occasional availability for travel and commissioning.

Assets

Experience with ABB, Fanuc, Yaskawa, or Universal Robots robots.

Knowledge of Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Omron platforms.

Experience in artificial vision.

Knowledge of machine and manufacturing environment safety standards.
