Role Description

Experienced GWO Composite Technicians at TECHÉOL perform hands-on inspection, repair, and maintenance of composite components on wind turbines, such as blades and nacelle structures. Daily tasks include carrying out GWO-compliant repair procedures, troubleshooting structural and surface defects, preparing materials and tools, and documenting all work performed in accordance with company and industry standards. Technicians follow strict safety protocols, participate in regular safety briefings, and collaborate closely with site supervisors and other technical staff to ensure efficient, high-quality work. The role also involves working at height, handling epoxy and composite materials, and adapting to varying weather conditions on wind turbine sites. This is an on-site role located in Lévis, QC, and is intended for candidates based in Canada only.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in composite repair and maintenance on wind turbines, including blade inspection, sanding, laminating, and finishing
• Valid GWO certifications (e.g., Working at Heights, Manual Handling, First Aid) and proven ability to apply safety standards in field conditions
• Comfort working at height and in confined spaces, with good physical conditioning suitable for climbing turbines and handling tools and materials
• Ability to read and follow technical documentation, repair guidelines, and work instructions with high attention to detail
• Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental practices relevant to wind turbine operations and composite repairs
• Effective teamwork and communication skills, including clear reporting of work performed and issues encountered
• Experience in wind energy or industrial maintenance environments; prior work with epoxy and fiberglass materials is an asset
• Eligibility to work in Canada and availability to work on-site in Lévis, QC; willingness to travel to wind farms as required
• Secondary school diploma or vocational training in composites, industrial mechanics, or a related technical field; additional technical certifications are beneficial
