• Tasks

Adjust and repair systems according to specifications, technical drawings, manuals, and established procedures

Inspect maintenance work performed by aircraft mechanics

Check structural and mechanical systems of aircraft and ensure they meet Transport Canada and company performance and safety standards

Repair and revise to ensure compliance with standards and procedures

Troubleshoot aircraft hydraulic systems

Troubleshoot aircraft mechanical systems

Repair and revise aircraft structural, mechanical, or hydraulic systems

Install or modify aircraft engines or other aircraft systems, such as mechanical and hydraulic systems, flight control systems, fuel circuits, and pneumatic systems

Prepare detailed reports regarding aircraft repair, inspection, and certification

Disassemble aircraft cells, engines, or other systems for repair, restoration, and cleaning, and reassemble them

Check the work of aircraft mechanics responsible for aircraft modification or mechanical aircraft systems to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures

Perform systematic maintenance and report on it

Interpret blueprints, specifications, standards, and written technical instructions
