Your Mission

Reporting to the *Head of Section - Community Development*, the successful candidate will plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate all activities related to this position. In collaboration with the Service's objectives and orientations, they will ensure the implementation of various municipal policies or reference frameworks and their action plans, and promote the cross-integration of their principles and objectives within the municipal apparatus. They will develop, plan, and consolidate initiatives and projects related to various social issues such as homelessness, youth, safety, etc. The successful candidate will closely collaborate with internal services, organizations, and stakeholders in the field. They will establish and maintain partnerships and ensure liaison with municipal services. They will advise the Head of Section, Community Development, in their areas of responsibility and participate in the development of the Service's orientations and policies. They will conduct studies and prepare, submit, and write various reports, procedures, summaries, and financial assistance requests.

Desired Profile

• Hold a bachelor's degree in the field of social sciences or in a relevant and equivalent domain.
• Hold a master's degree in a relevant field is an asset.
• Possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience in the field of community development.
• Possess experience in a municipal environment is an asset.
• Possess good knowledge of municipal issues related to various social problems such as homelessness, youth, housing, and safety, as well as knowledge of partner networks.
• Possess a valid Class 5 driver's license.
• Expertise Leader at the City of Gatineau

You play a key role by providing in-depth expertise. Your expertise will be sought to guide decisions and coordinate various projects. You are also a central actor in the provision of specialized consulting services.

Working Hours

The working hours may vary depending on the workload. Within the scope of the functions, hybrid remote work is possible.

Salary

According to Class 4 of the salary scale for professional employees, ranging from $92,987 to $119,215.
