Administrative Technician
- Start date: September 2026
- Work mode: Hybrid (remote work allowed 2 days per week)
- Administrative unit: Legal Affairs Department (DAJ)
- Who are we?
The Commission de protection du territoire agricole du Québec (CPTAQ) is an organization directly under the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ). Since 1978, it has been tasked with ensuring, for future generations, a territory suitable for the practice and development of agricultural activities. To this end, it protects the agricultural territory and contributes to introducing this objective into the concerns of the community.
It supports its actions with the values of rigor, equity, respect, transparency and coherence.
To fulfill its mission, it applies two laws:
- The Act on the protection of the territory and agricultural activities (LPTAA);
- The Act on the acquisition of agricultural land by non-residents (LATANR).
There are several advantages to working for the CPTAQ, including the familiarity of a human-sized organization that has successfully embraced digital transformation (paperless files, laptop, remote work, etc.), the proximity of several services and easy access to public transportation.
The DAJ is responsible for monitoring the application of these two laws by taking appropriate recourse, and this, in order to sanction violations. It represents the CPTAQ before judicial and administrative courts, both in demand, to ensure compliance with the laws, and in defense, to protect its competence.
