Located in Waterville for over 50 years, PPD Thermoplastics is a division specializing in the production and assembly of injection-molded thermoplastic parts. PPD Thermoplastics operates in several markets, including recreational vehicles, automotive, and consumer and industrial markets.

In the course of your employment, you will contribute to

• Disassemble and assemble various molds on presses.
• Enter initial program values to ensure a safe startup for the technician.
• Connect all water, air, electrical, and hydraulic supplies at the start of presses.
• Maintain the cleanliness of your work environment.
• Support production during molding condition-related issues.
• Perform press starts (run-up adjustments, ejection rods, etc.) for production purposes.
• Conduct starts and tests of new molds and new materials according to requirements.
• Adjust presses according to standard parameters and suggest any improvements.
• Make final parameter adjustments to meet quality and productivity requirements.
• Conduct mold and material tests in collaboration with various departments (quality, R&D, and production).
• Proactively intervene on equipment to ensure proper functioning and employee safety.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects.

You identify with the following

• Academic: DEC in plastics transformation or equivalent training and relevant experience.
• Minimum experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in plastic injection.
• Special skills: Basic knowledge of MS-Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook). Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and automation systems is an asset.
• Skills: Self-sufficient, manual dexterity, mechanical sense, versatile, team player, methodical, and good communicator.

Salary: $20.00 to $36.00 per hour
