AI Program Manager *AI Showcase, AI Brigade, and Project Management — Part-time Position (± 5 hours/week)* THE MISSION OF THE INNOVATION COUNCIL
The Innovation Council's mission is to drive innovation within Quebec enterprises and society: ● Advise the government and other stakeholders to continuously update relevant orientations, policies, and programs; ● Boost the performance of enterprises and ecosystem organizations through referencing to the right resources, sharing expertise, and support; ● Inform the ministry's decisions, change actors, regional and sectoral leaders with data, analyses, and collective intelligence; ● Promote innovation and foster an innovation culture within enterprises, supporting institutions, and Quebec society; ● Stimulate the adoption of AI, in a responsible manner, within enterprises and institutions in Quebec.
Within the Bureau of the Chief Innovator of Quebec, the selected person will oversee the AI Brigade projects and the activities of the Quebec AI Showcase. This is a part-time mandate designed to ensure light but rigorous operational continuity of these strategic Council activities in AI, in line with the 2026-2027 AI Action Plan.
The ideal candidate is organized, autonomous, and proactive. They are comfortable coordinating various stakeholders (Brigade contributors, ecosystem partners, Council's communications team) independently and can manage different projects in a limited time context.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES 1. AI Brigade Project Management ● Regularly monitor the progress of AI Brigade projects, in line with the Council's AI action plan priorities; ● Coordinate communications with Brigade members and contributors (reminders, invitations, follow-ups, reports); ● Document project progress, provide insights on content quality and completion, and report risks, delays, or issues requiring attention to the leadership; ● Depending on the candidate's skills, possibly suggest improvements to the content of documents and tools produced by AI Brigade projects; ● Contribute to the organization and facilitation of Brigade meetings (agenda, presentation materials, tracking decisions and actions); ● Provide assistance with document management as needed.
2. AI Showcase Management ● Monitor content distribution on the AI Showcase. Follow up with the Council's communications team and external contributors to ensure regular content publication; ● Provide insights on the Showcase's performance, particularly in terms of article publication and the completeness of listed organizations' profiles. Communicate the situation and issues to the leadership; ● Occasionally provide assistance with: ○ Contributing relevant content ideas to enrich the Showcase (studies, tools, organization profiles); ○ Identifying and/or soliciting contributors to generate rich and relevant content; ○ Identifying existing relevant content that could be highlighted on the Showcase; ○ Updating Showcase content (listed organizations, tools, publications); ○ Etc.
3. Project Management ● Possibly manage and coordinate other projects within the Innovation Council; ● Provide light administrative support related to the mandate: meeting coordination, report writing, preparation of short follow-up reports and presentation materials; ● Propose adjustments, if needed, to optimize the efficiency of the time spent on the mandate; ● Occasionally perform other related tasks to support the leadership, within the time allocated to the mandate.
ARE YOU THE PERSON WE'RE LOOKING FOR?
● You are thorough, organized, and can manage multiple follow-ups in parallel without constant supervision; ● You have strong communication and coordination skills with various stakeholders (partners, volunteers, experts, internal team); ● You are comfortable with collaborative and project management tools (e.g., dashboards, document management, web platforms); ● You have a good understanding of the Quebec AI ecosystem, or a strong willingness to familiarize yourself with it quickly; ● You can work autonomously and effectively in a part-time mandate, with a constant focus on the quality and accuracy of the follow-up.
JOB REQUIREMENTS ● Relevant experience in project management, coordination, or administrative support, ideally in an innovation, technology, or AI context, document management, or content generation; ● Bachelor's degree in administration, project management, or a related field, or equivalent experience deemed relevant; ● Good knowledge of the issues related to AI adoption in enterprises, an important asset; ● Comfort with updating web content (CMS) and common office tools (Microsoft ...); ● Strong French language skills, both oral and written; English proficiency is an asset.
JOB CONDITIONS ● Part-time position: approximately 5 to 9 hours per week; ● Hybrid remote work, with occasional in-person meetings as needed; ● Mandate within a 2026-2027 transition year, with the possibility of renewal and full-time responsibilities; ● Salary to be discussed based on experience.
