Main Tasks

  • Be able to perform feeding operations during startup, operation, and printing of an offset press.
  • Be able to contribute to problem-solving, maintenance, and repair of an offset press.
  • Read and understand the job instructions.
  • Work closely with the press operator to avoid time loss and optimize productivity.
  • Prepare printing groups.
  • Check and adjust inking systems and wetting solution.
  • Prepare the offset press feeding system.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of print quality.
  • Prepare raw materials for the next print run.
  • Record all information related to the consumption of various materials for the printing project and close the file.
  • Diagnose with the press operator and propose possible solutions to encountered problems.
  • Implement the chosen solution with the press operator.
  • Participate, under the supervision of the press operator, in the planning and maintenance/repair work of the press.
  • Check and perform lubrication and greasing.
  • Collect information related to maintenance, adjustments, and minor repairs of the press and record the data.
  • Keep your work area clean and safe.

All other tasks as requested by your supervisor.

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of Heidelberg presses (an asset).
