Main Tasks
- Be able to perform feeding operations during startup, operation, and printing of an offset press.
- Be able to contribute to problem-solving, maintenance, and repair of an offset press.
- Read and understand the job instructions.
- Work closely with the press operator to avoid time loss and optimize productivity.
- Prepare printing groups.
- Check and adjust inking systems and wetting solution.
- Prepare the offset press feeding system.
- Contribute to the evaluation of print quality.
- Prepare raw materials for the next print run.
- Record all information related to the consumption of various materials for the printing project and close the file.
- Diagnose with the press operator and propose possible solutions to encountered problems.
- Implement the chosen solution with the press operator.
- Participate, under the supervision of the press operator, in the planning and maintenance/repair work of the press.
- Check and perform lubrication and greasing.
- Collect information related to maintenance, adjustments, and minor repairs of the press and record the data.
- Keep your work area clean and safe.
All other tasks as requested by your supervisor.
Required Qualities
- Self-reliant.
- Detail-oriented and meticulous.
- Rigorous about the quality of your work.
- Team-oriented.
Required Skills
- DEC in printing technology or completed studies (AEC, DEC, DEP) in a related field.
- Ability to read and write.
- French and English (functional).
- Experience with an integrated system (consultation, data entry).
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience on an "offset" press.
- Knowledge of Heidelberg presses (an asset).
