ELECTROMECHANICAL TECHNICIAN / INDUSTRIAL MECHANIC - NIGHT SHIFT

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Passionate electromechanical technicians and industrial mechanics;
  • Candidates in the process of obtaining their electrical certification (CÉ) or mechanical certification for fixed machinery – class 4 (MMF);
  • Team spirit and sense of collaboration;
  • Mechanical sense and ability to analyze and solve technical problems;
  • Communication skills, with a willingness to share knowledge and support colleagues;
  • Proactivity and openness to seek advice to improve practices;
  • Flexibility, autonomy, and adaptability to changes in priorities;

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Repair and maintain various equipment;
  • Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, both electrical and mechanical;
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and provide solutions to technical problems;
  • Ensure the operation of production equipment, make the right diagnosis in case of breakdown, and implement the necessary changes;
  • Make adjustments to systems and perform required repairs;
  • Operate and maintain a class 4 boiler for the machinery sector;
  • Perform repairs on components in the workshop;
  • Work in collaboration with maintenance and production team members;
  • Collaborate on solving problems related to equipment efficiency and improvement;
  • Apply the organization's health, safety, and environmental principles.

REQUIREMENTS

  • DEC or DEP in electromechanical, industrial maintenance, or a related field;
  • 3 to 5 years of experience as an electromechanical technician or industrial mechanic;
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment and on a transformation line (a definite asset);
  • Experience in pulp and paper (a definite asset);
  • Holding an electrical certification (CÉ), or being in the process of obtaining it, is considered a definite asset;
  • Holding a mechanical certification for fixed machinery of class 4 (MMF), or being in the process of obtaining it, is considered a definite asset;
  • Ability to detect and solve mechanical and electrical problems;
  • Knowledge of automation and programming;
  • Knowledge of piping, hydraulics, welding, and vibration is considered a definite asset;
  • Commitment to respecting SST rules.
  • SCHEDULE

This is a 12-hour shift work schedule alternating between the two shifts (day and night) according to the following sequence:

  • Week 1: J-J-J-J-Off-Off-Off
  • Week 2: Off-Off-Off-Off-N-N-N
  • Week 3: N-Off-Off-Off-J-J-J
  • Week 4: Off-N-N-N-Off-Off-Off
  • Day: 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM / Night: 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM
