A well-established notary office located in the economic heart of Gaspésie is looking to hire a legal technician or legal assistant to support its real estate law team. The Role
As a legal technician or legal assistant in real estate law, you will actively contribute to the administrative and documentary management of cases, working closely with notaries and other stakeholders involved in transactions.
You will play a key role in case tracking, communication coordination, and preparing the necessary documents for the execution of mandates.
Responsibilities
- Open client files and verify required documents
- Communicate with clients, financial institutions, and other stakeholders
- Schedule meetings and follow up on deadlines
- Conduct searches in the land registry and RDPRM
- Prepare, modify, and review various legal documents
- Collaborate with notaries in managing real estate files
- Request funds from financial institutions
- Consult municipal and school tax statements
- Participate in the administrative organization and follow-up of mandates
Desired Profile
- Diploma in legal techniques or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite
- Knowledge of Para-Maître software (asset)
- Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple files simultaneously
- Diligence, discretion, and professionalism
- Excellent relational and communication skills
- Team spirit and sense of initiative
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
