Position: Service Technician

REEL COH inc. has true expertise in the manufacture of custom overhead cranes since 1969, recognized throughout North America for its exceptional quality and reliability. The mission of REEL COH inc. in Saguenay is to support its industrial clientele in the proper functioning of its lifting equipment.

The Jonquière team is looking for an electromechanic. Under the responsibility of the head of the technical services team, the service technician performs the necessary maintenance work to ensure the proper functioning of the overhead cranes at our main client. In his activities, he will have to interact with specialized workers, operators, supervisors, equipment suppliers, and the client.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Periodic inspections of lifting equipment according to standards
• Diagnose malfunctions, identify causes, and perform necessary repairs for problems of any complexity
• Analyze breakdowns and recommend corrective actions
• Perform preventive maintenance of equipment
• Modify equipment according to work requirements
• Ensure the cleanliness and order in the department
• Use tools and equipment safely
• Be available at all times to handle emergencies with the emergency line, rotating with other electromechanics in the maintenance department
• Any other tasks requested by the maintenance supervisor.

Profile

• DEP in electromechanics or electricity, DEC in electrical engineering
• Troubleshooting in electromechanics in a factory is an important asset
• Ability to read and write in French
• Experience in reading plans
• Manual skills
• Ability to work standing or in uncomfortable positions for long periods
• Ability to understand, learn, and reason quickly
• Ability to manage pressure and priorities
• Valid driver's license.

The position is on a 40-hour workweek schedule, Monday to Friday.
