Agricultural Worker or Agricultural Technician

Under the supervision of the viticulture supervisor, the agricultural technician actively participates in agricultural work related to research projects in viticulture and enology. The person contributes to the care of the plants, the monitoring of cultural protocols, and the completion of tasks necessary for the proper conduct of the trials, in accordance with the directives, work methods, and safety standards in place.

This is a temporary position within the organization, in a collaborative work environment focused on concrete projects with direct impacts on the Quebec vitivinicole industry.

Main Responsibilities

• Follow the plant culture protocols
• Adhere to the instructions and directives of the viticulture supervisor
• Maintain the vines carefully throughout the production cycle
• Participate in the harvest and winery work for fermentations
• Report any questions or concerns about the state of the plants promptly
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Work closely with your supervisor and other team members

Requirements and Competencies

• A degree in agriculture, viticulture, horticulture, or a related field, or equivalent experience is an asset, but not required
• A strong interest in agricultural work and fieldwork
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to protocols
• Meticulousness, attention to detail, and concern for well-done work
• Autonomy, resourcefulness, and team spirit
• Valid driver's license required

Working Conditions

• Location: Oka (occasional travel may be required to the CRAM office in Mirabel, depending on project needs)
• Salary: According to the current salary grid
• Hours: 37.5 hours per week, sometimes variable depending on needs
• Start date: As soon as possible
