What will you contribute to the team?

  • Formulate business challenges as measurable forecasting, optimization, natural language processing (NLP), information retrieval, classification, risk management, or recommendation problems.
  • Explore, analyze, and validate enterprise data framed by governance practices.
  • Develop, using Databricks and Azure, reproducible chains for variable creation, model training, validation, and scoring.
  • Establish relevant analytical baselines and business-aligned performance indicators.
  • Design and validate models using cross-validation, retrospective testing, uncertainty analysis, and relevant business metrics.
  • Develop intelligence documentary and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions that produce source-anchored answers with citations, search evaluation, safeguards, and human review.
  • Develop forecasting and stock optimization solutions that account for intermittent demand, uncertainty, service levels, and operational constraints.
  • Develop classification and risk models applying approaches to imbalanced data, calibration, explainability, and cost-sensitive decisions.
  • Put models into production using MLflow, model registries, automated testing, deployment controls, monitoring mechanisms, drift detection, and retraining plans.
  • Apply throughout the AI lifecycle controls related to privacy, security, traceability, explainability, bias, robustness, auditability, and incident response.
  • Clearly present assumptions, limitations, trade-offs, and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with full-stack engineers and platform engineers to integrate models into production flows and user experiences.
  • Keep up-to-date model documentation, validation proofs, monitoring plans, and support procedures.

  • Transform business requirements into maintainable technical designs and clear acceptance criteria.

How will you thrive in this role?

  • You hold a bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, operations research, or a related quantitative field.
  • You have at least five years of experience in developing applied data science, machine learning, forecasting, optimization, natural language processing (NLP), or risk modeling solutions in business or enterprise environments.
  • You are proficient in Python and SQL, and have hands-on experience with pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, Spark/PySpark, and Databricks.
  • You can translate business challenges into analytical targets, constraints, acceptance criteria, measurable outcomes, and production-ready recommendations.
  • You apply strong model development and validation practices, including baseline establishment, cross-validation, retrospective testing, error analysis, explainability, and business performance indicator definition.
  • You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders by explaining assumptions, results, limitations, trade-offs, and recommended actions.
  • You thrive in dynamic and collaborative environments, and are proficient in both French and English, both spoken and written.
  • #### Now that you are envisioning this role, apply and join the Bombardier team!
