What does a Surface Treatment Operator do?
As part of the manufacturing sector, you will be responsible for preparing and treating metal parts by performing cleaning, degreasing, deoxidation, plating, and electro-chemical or chemical treatments. You will ensure the setting and monitoring of equipment, the quality control of applied treatments, and first-level preventive maintenance. The position also includes the use of production tracking software and the completion of quality and traceability documentation.

What are your contributions to the team?
- Prepare parts for treatment, mask, position, or fix them on tools;
- Adjust or control equipment, baths, or treatment products;
- Operate and control equipment to clean, degrease, deoxidize metal surfaces to give parts the desired surface characteristics;
- Monitor equipment that passes objects through various cleaning, rinsing, and plating solutions;
- Perform and monitor part treatments;
- Carry out electro-chemical, chemical, or projection/grit blasting treatments;
- Operate furnaces to harden and dry surface coatings;
- Check the condition and thickness of surface treatments using instruments;
- Implement corrective or first-level preventive measures;
- Perform preventive maintenance of equipment;
- Use software to manage operations and record results;
- Complete Quality Control and Traceability documents
How to thrive in this role? Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- You possess a high school diploma (secondary 5) or relevant experience demonstrating manual dexterity.
- You have the ability to work with meticulousness and precision.
- You are flexible to work on different shifts (day-night).
- You are able to work safely in accordance with company values and demonstrate an exemplary approach at this level.
- You speak and write in French.
