The labour relations team provides advisory services in the interpretation and application of collective agreements, decrees, and various Labour Laws. They support managers daily in the management of relationships with employees and ensure the maintenance of healthy relationships with trade union partners in current cases and the management of disputes as the employer's representative.
The home base is subject to discussion between Longueuil, Saint-Hyacinthe, and Sorel.

Under the authority of the head of the labour relations service, the personnel management agent is responsible for designing, analyzing, evaluating, recommending, coordinating, and providing professional advice in human resources management for the entire organization. They contribute to the achievement of the mission and the attainment of common service, management, and establishment objectives. Additionally, they establish and maintain the required communications and collaborations with different establishment services or external organizations related to their activities. They collect, analyze, and manage the information necessary to carry out their functions, propose recommendations, and implement appropriate solutions. They act as an expert advisor to establishment managers on any issues within their competencies. They assume accountability for the mandates entrusted to them and define their priorities.
Role and Responsibilities of the Labour Relations Advisor
- Accompany managers in the management of disciplinary and administrative measures;
- Ensure the application of applicable collective agreements, laws, and regulations in Labour Law;
- As the employer's representative, participate in Labour Relations Committees;
- Oversee the settlement and prevention of disputes;
- Perform various mandates related to Labour Relations management, such as negotiation and drafting of agreements, preparation for arbitration, etc.;
- Act as the employer's representative before Labour Courts and in arbitration cases;
- Support Labour Relations partners in the fulfillment of mandates and collaborate closely with them.
Desired Profile
- Must hold a bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations, Administrative Sciences, Human Resources Management, or another appropriate university discipline;
- Experience in a Labour Relations service is an asset;
- Proficiency in Office Suite;
- Proficiency in spoken and written French;
- Knowledge of the collective agreements of the health and social services network and the Logibec software is an asset;
- Must have a valid vehicle and driver's license.
