As a Financial Services Agent at Client Services at Desjardins Lachine, you work closely with advisors to provide tailored support to members and clients in your field. You support advisors in service delivery and maintaining business relationships. You play an important role in supporting business development. You participate in the management of members and clients by offering high-quality customer service. You carry out offers related to current activities, sales support activities, and products and services, which meet the needs and expectations of members and clients according to the strategies and practices in place. You take advantage of your ability to adapt your approach when the situation requires it. More specifically, you will be called upon to:

  • Handle customer requests. Perform the necessary procedures and research, and propose adapted solutions.

What you bring to the table

  • College diploma (AEC) in an appropriate discipline
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience
  • Please note that other combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered
  • Certificate of Representative in Collective Savings – Financial Markets Authority
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Advanced intermediate English due to the nature of the tasks, work tools, or interactions with anglophone partners or members and clients
  • Knowledge and understanding of financial documents used in asset management
  • Knowledge of all products and services intended for Desjardins members and those offered by Desjardins Entreprises, its components, and Desjardins' distribution networks and those of the competition
  • Knowledge of integrating financial data into systems
  • Knowledge of compliance with legislation on the distribution of financial products and services
  • Knowledge of the philosophy and functioning of a financial services cooperative
  • Knowledge of operational procedures related to financing and investment activities
  • Knowledge of operational procedures related to convenience products, automated and assisted transactions
  • Knowledge of operational procedures related to account openings, sales of complementary products and services
  • Knowledge of Desjardins business processes (e.g., sales, solicitation, and negotiation processes)
  • Knowledge of service standards
  • Availability to work one evening per week until 8 p.m.
