Your role

As an Electro-IT, you will contribute to the proper functioning of our technological infrastructures and buildings.

You will participate in:

• Installing and connecting network cables (Ethernet, fiber, etc.)
• Installing conduits, cable paths, and communication infrastructures
• Installing, cleaning, maintaining, and troubleshooting surveillance cameras and security systems
• Participating in the installation and relocation of computer equipment
• Performing some general building maintenance:
• Organizing the parts store and equipment
• Maintaining a clean and safe workshop
• Collaborating with mechanics, electromechanics, and the IT team on special projects
• Participating in the development of the company's technological infrastructures.
• The profile we are looking for

We are looking for a person who enjoys understanding how systems work and who appreciates both manual work and new technologies.

You could be the ideal candidate if you have:

• DEP or DEC in networking, telecommunications, electrotechnology, industrial computing, electricity, or any other relevant training
• A strong interest in network infrastructures and technologies
• Good ability to read technical plans or diagrams (asset)
• Comfort with manual and electrical tools
• Logical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Autonomy and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a team
• Good physical condition
• No fear of working at heights
• Ability to handle loads up to 20 kg (45 lb)
• Experience in network cabling, video surveillance, or access control is a great asset.

Why this position is different

This is not a traditional IT technician position.

It is also not a conventional maintenance position.

It is a hybrid role where you will participate in the evolution of the technological infrastructures of a growing company.

You will contribute to various projects such as:

• Deploying the computer network;
• Installing new equipment;
• Camera and security systems;
• Continuous improvement of our facilities;
• Special technology-related projects.
