Construction Materials Salesperson

L.Villeneuve & cie (1973) Ltd. is an independent renovation center in business since 1875. We operate as a hardware store specializing in the sale of construction materials and hardware. Located in Petite-Patrie in Montreal, specifically on Bellechasse at the corner of Saint-Laurent, we are an iconic figure in the history of this neighborhood.

We are looking for one or two salespeople in construction materials and hardware, with or without experience. We are looking for dynamic, responsible, reliable, and punctual candidates. You must be proficient in both French and English. The position is full-time. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday from 7 am to 5 pm and Saturday from 8 am to 5 pm.

The offered schedule is either: Monday to Friday (5 days/week)

Or one week Monday to Saturday followed by one week Monday to Thursday (6 days/4 days)

The salesperson must ensure that they respond to the customer by providing adequate service according to our company's standards, share advice based on the customer's needs, offer products and services, conclude the sale, and proceed with the order taking. Order taking can be done in person or by phone and is done using our computer system.

Basic Qualifications:

• Available full-time
• Good sales and communication skills
• Knowledge of construction materials (desired)
• Knowledge of hardware (desired)
• Experience in customer service (1 year desired)
• Working Conditions:
• We are ready to offer a work schedule up to 50 hours per week
• We are ready to offer a part-time work schedule for those who wish
• We pay overtime at time and a half
• Compensation: $54,000.00 to $60,000.00 per year
