Main Responsibilities

  • In the course of your duties, you will be responsible for performing general mechanical operations on heavy vehicles (trucks).
  • You will need to diagnose engines, transmissions, and demonstrate excellent knowledge in electronics.
  • You will be responsible for electrical and hydraulic components;
  • You will need to perform adequate maintenance operations on air brakes;
  • You will be responsible for making component changes;
  • You will need to daily complete work reports;
  • You will communicate to your supervisor the date, time, and duration of the equipment and heavy trucks' out-of-service;
  • You will need to perform any other tasks as required by your immediate supervisor.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • DEP in heavy vehicle mechanics, construction equipment, or agricultural mechanics;
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy trucks;
  • Good knowledge in hydraulics, pneumatics, and electricity;
  • The P.E.P. card (Preventive Maintenance Program) would be an asset.
