Carpenter-Cabinetmaker (Non-Exempt)

Under the responsibility of the team leader at the installation, the carpenter-cabinetmaker (non-exempt) constructs, erects, installs, and repairs prefabricated wooden sheds and garages.

The work schedule is 30 hours per week, full-time (seasonal: March to December).

Main tasks and activities to be performed

• Study plans and sketches to determine technical specifications
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wooden elements, agglomerated materials, or other shed and garage components
• Install sheds and garages
• Adjust and install cabinetry elements such as doors, windows, moldings, etc.
• All other related tasks

SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

• 12-23 months of relevant experience
• Training related to the position (an asset);
• Knowledge of construction materials;
• Good tool handling skills;
• Good physical condition;
• Resourcefulness.
