The Verdun Borough offers a multitude of cultural activities throughout the year. It invites citizens to discover artistic works from various disciplines such as music, song, dance, theater, visual arts and circus in these different venues: Quai 5160 - Verdun Culture House and the various installations in the borough's parks.

Your Mandate

You mainly ensure the technical preparation related to lighting and, if necessary, sound reinforcement, in order to produce the desired effect by the artist in a performance hall or park. You help present the events in the performing arts and you put your creativity to use in finding various solutions. More specifically, you:

• discuss the artistic concept with the concerned parties and ensure that you know all the essential elements before carrying out your work;
• examine the plans and estimates, raise difficulties and propose solutions in collaboration with the other members of the team;
• carry out your work in compliance with the applicable safety standards and ensure the safety of the artists and the public;
• prepare the venue for the activity so that it can take place as planned;
• find technical solutions in case of problems, both before and during the activity.

PROFILE REQUIRED

• College diploma in management and scene techniques or related field
• 6 months of experience related to the responsibilities of the position, specifically in lighting and performing arts
• Relational skills and ability to work autonomously, desirable
• Class 5 driver's license
