As a Guidewire Specialist at CGI, you will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of Guidewire solutions for our clients. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet our clients' business needs.
You will participate in all stages of the development cycle, from requirements analysis to application deployment and support.
Location: Shawinigan, Sherbrooke, Drummondville, Chicoutimi Saguenay, Montreal
Work Mode: Hybrid
Your future duties and responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Participate in the analysis of functional and technical requirements.
- Design, develop, and configure Guidewire applications (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and/or ClaimCenter).
- Customize features using Gosu, Java, and Guidewire tools.
- Develop and maintain integrations with internal and external systems (REST API, SOAP, Web Services, messaging).
- Perform unit testing and contribute to integration testing.
- Participate in code reviews and apply best development practices.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Contribute to migration, upgrade, and optimization activities of Guidewire platforms.
- Collaborate with architects, business analysts, Scrum Masters, and QA teams in an Agile environment.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of development processes.
- Required qualifications to be successful in this role
Qualifications sought
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
Experience
- 3 to 8 years of software development experience.
- 2 years of hands-on experience with Guidewire.
- Significant experience with the Guidewire suite (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter).
- Experience in the property and casualty insurance sector (a plus).
- Participation in Guidewire implementation or modernization projects.

CGI offers a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position. The calculation of this range depends on various factors, including skill level, geographic market, experience, education, and professional licenses and certifications. Salary decisions depend on the particulars of each case. A reasonable estimate of this salary range is between $60,000 to $120,000. This position is open.
