Job Context and Mission

As a Python Software Developer, you will play a key role in developing the software that equips our analytical instruments as well as the internal applications used by our R&D, production, customer support, and marketing teams. You will participate in all stages of the development cycle, from design to deployment.

Development of Embedded Software and Instrument Interfaces

• Design, improve, and maintain the software of our analytical instruments under Windows and Linux
• Develop complete Python applications (backend and frontend)
• Develop modern user interfaces using Python libraries dedicated to graphical interface development
• Design, develop, and maintain the backend services of applications and instruments in Python
• Design, develop, and evolve the software architectures of instruments, including IoT communications, state machines, and data management (SQL)
• Design, implement, and optimize data processing and analysis algorithms for vibrational and optical measurements made by the instruments
• Ensure the deployment and distribution of software applications
• Collaborate with the hardware team to integrate various peripherals and hardware libraries into applications

Development of Internal Tools and Applications (R&D, Customer Support, Sales/Marketing)

• Develop applications to support technical support, production, research and development, and sales and marketing teams
• Participate in data analysis from instruments and clients to support technical support, production, and R&D teams
• Design and develop modern user interfaces using Python graphical interface development libraries (e.g., Kivy, NiceGUI, Streamlit, or equivalent technologies)
• Develop dashboards, data visualization tools, and decision-support applications using Plotly and Matplotlib
• Perform data analysis using Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, and other scientific libraries
• Design automated or semi-automated diagnostic, quality control (QC), and validation tools
• Develop data processing and artificial intelligence analysis applications
• Connect applications to the various web APIs used by the company (CRM, Google Workspace, and other services)
• Required Skills

Technical Skills

• Excellent mastery of Python for backend and frontend application development
• Experience in industrial software development, IoT applications, and user interface development
• Mastery of software development under Windows and Linux
• Experience with IoT communication architectures, state machines, SQL databases, and hardware integration
• Experience in API development and integration with web services

Scientific Analysis and Data Processing

• Good mastery of scientific libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, as well as data visualization tools
• Interest and understanding of the physical principles applied to vibration and optics
• Experience in data processing, signal processing, and algorithm development
• Experience in frequency analysis (FFT, digital filtering, and other frequency domain analysis techniques)

Development Tools

• Experience with Git and GitHub
• Interest in using artificial intelligence tools to accelerate software development and data analysis

Personal Qualities

• Passionate about programming and motivated by the development of diverse software
• Resourceful, self-motivated, rigorous, and quality-oriented
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly
• Excellent communication skills in French and English, both spoken and written
• Ability to work in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment

Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in software engineering, computer science, or physics, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technological company.
