YOUR DAILY ROUTINE:

Within our materials engineering department, we combine our efforts to validate the conformity and quality of each step of the work. From conducting rigorous tests on-site and in the laboratory to coordinating and managing our projects.

On a daily basis, your days will look like this:

Conducting laboratory tests

• Record samples in the registry;
• Separate samples sent to the laboratory;
• Conduct requested tests on aggregates, concrete, and asphalt.

Writing laboratory reports

• Record test results;
• Verify the accuracy of calculations;
• Compile test results.

Maintaining measuring devices

• Regularly check the calibration of equipment;
• Calibrate laboratory equipment;
• Maintain the workspace and laboratory equipment.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Hold a college diploma (AEC or DEC) (considered an asset);
• Have work experience in a similar laboratory (considered an asset);
• Knowledge of standards related to testing (considered an asset);
• Demonstrate rigor, ability to work quickly and under pressure without affecting productivity;
• Be detail-oriented;
• Be able to work alone and demonstrate resourcefulness;
• Be available to work flexible hours;
• Dexterity and coordination:
• Equipment manipulation;
• Sample manipulation.

• Movements involving the back: lifting, dropping, posting, transporting weights;
• Movements involving upper and lower limbs: adjusting, supporting, holding, moving, grasping repeatedly.
• Noisy environment;
• Time constraints: meeting deadlines;
• Dust that requires ventilation or protective equipment;
• Dirt.
