Under the supervision of the maintenance supervisor, the electrotechnician will be responsible for the follow-up, maintenance, and repair of electromechanical equipment (motors, electrical wiring, machine tools, lifting equipment). They may also make modifications to machines. They ensure compliance with hygiene and safety guidelines specific to the intervention. They communicate with specialized workers, operators, supervisors, planners, and equipment suppliers. More specifically: Main Responsibilities:

Perform follow-up, preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment (motors, wiring, machine tools, lifting equipment, etc.).

Respond to production service calls and provide a quick and effective service to minimize line stops.

Diagnose and resolve electrical faults.

Participate in the modification, improvement, and installation of new production lines or equipment.

Ensure compliance with SQF, HACCP, and health and safety regulations.

Collaborate with operators, supervisors, planners, and equipment suppliers.

Participate in the design, development, and testing of electrical, electronic, computer, and automated systems.

Supervise the construction and testing of prototypes according to established standards.

Install and commission electrical and electronic equipment and systems.

Perform tests and performance analyses of components.

Contribute to applied research in electrical, electronic, or physical engineering.

Desired Profile:

Education

Hold a DEP or DEC in electromechanical, electrical engineering, industrial electronics, or related field.

Experience

Have 2 to 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance (manufacturing or food industry is an asset).

Technical Skills: Knowledge of programmable logic controllers.

Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.

Skills in diagnostic and problem-solving.

Knowledge of SQF/HACCP and occupational health and safety standards.

Personal Qualities: Rigorous, autonomous, and responsible.

Team spirit and good communicator.

Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities.
