Machinist

Under the supervision of the mechanical workshop foreman, the machinist, using various conventional or semi-numeric machine tools, manufactures, repairs, or modifies metal or special alloy parts to ensure the proper functioning of factory equipment, dryers, and heavy machinery.

Salary From $39.52 (apprentice) to $45.23 (Class A)

Hours 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, make sketches, measurements, and perform measurements to manufacture metal parts;
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances, measure, and arrange elements to be machined;
• Perform turning, milling, boring, and machining work on conventional and semi-numeric machine tools to manufacture parts that ensure the proper functioning of factories and heavy machinery;
• Perform regular maintenance of used machines and verify the accuracy of measuring instruments;
• Other related tasks.
