Permanent full-time or part-time animal health technician position, approximately 35 hours mainly during the day, at $32–40/hour depending on experience.
The Valleyfield Veterinary Clinic, a member of the VETA network, is looking to expand its team. You will play a true technical role with patients and veterinarians: anesthesia, radiology, laboratory, surgery, dentistry, and hospital care.
SCHEDULE *
Current clinic hours: Monday to
Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM and
Friday 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Full-time or part-time
- Any evening or Saturday shifts will be scheduled and discussed in advance
- COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- $32–40/hour depending on experience, clinical autonomy, and technical skills

The offered rate will be established transparently based on experience in clinics, autonomy in anesthesia, radiology, and laboratory, skills in surgery or dentistry, communication with clients, and ability to support or train the team. The terms of benefits applicable to part-time will be specified before hiring.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist veterinarians during consultations, treatments, and surgeries
- Prepare patients, rooms, and instruments
- Perform collections, place catheters, and administer prescribed treatments within the scope of permitted delegated acts
- Monitor anesthesia and contribute to pre- and post-operative care
- Take radiographs and perform laboratory analyses
- Maintain medical records and communicate clearly with clients
- Keep equipment and care areas clean and safe
PROFILE REQUIRED
- DEC in Animal Health Techniques or recognized qualification allowing practice as an AHT in Quebec
- Experience in veterinary clinics, an asset
- Autonomy, reliability, and good clinical judgment
- Functional French; English, an asset only
