Senior Director Franchising – Based in Montreal, QC or Toronto, Ontario

Summary of the role

Foodtastic is seeking a Senior Director Franchising that will be responsible for supporting Franchising and Development departments. This is a strategic role that will interface cross functionally and will report to the Chief Development Officer.

Your role will

  • Work with General Counsel to interface on all legal files (internal/external).
  • Will be responsible for the KINTON RAMEN brand and QSR/FSR.
  • Will manage direct reports and all department communication pertaining to development.
  • Assist in negotiations both internally (Franchise) and externally (Real Estate).
  • Act as the Gate Keeper of the franchising process, renewals, new build and transfers for all strategic brands.
  • Identify markets and partners for future growth.
  • Integrate with new and existing franchisees as it pertains to real estate and development.
  • Support new development, support existing sites and help us cultivate the system.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in the restaurant franchise management or related roles.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of financial analysis (P&L).
  • Excellent leadership capabilities, and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with franchisees and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Bilingual Requirement (English/French):

This role requires proficiency in both French and English due to the national scope of the work and the diverse stakeholders involved. The position supports multiple brands operating across Quebec and English-speaking regions of Canada, necessitating effective communication in both official languages. The incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams located in different provinces, where English and French are used interchangeably depending on the region and audience.

Strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages are essential to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment in day-to-day interactions, project execution, and deliverables. Bilingualism enables the role to effectively engage with partners, contribute to national initiatives, and ensure that communications and materials are accessible and relevant to all audiences across Canada.
