Criminologist

Mandate A person who evaluates criminogenic factors and delinquent behavior of the individual as well as the effects of a criminal act on the victim. She determines an intervention plan and ensures its implementation. She supports and restores the social capabilities of the offender and the victim in order to promote the integration of the human being into society in interaction with his environment.

She designs, evaluates, and implements research, intervention, or consultation activities of a criminological nature.

Requirements

Must hold a bachelor's degree in criminology.

Must be a member of the Professional Order of Criminologists of Quebec.
