- Practicing the nine medical activities authorized according to your specialization;
- Diagnosing diseases;
- Prescribing diagnostic tests;
- Using invasive or risky diagnostic techniques;
- Determining medical treatments;
- Prescribing medications or other substances;

- Monitoring pregnancies.

- Essential qualifications (Health and Social Services requirements):
- Quebec Order of Nurses and Nurse Practitioners license;
- University second-cycle diploma allowing the practice of IPS and a specialist certificate issued by the OIIQ.
