Summary of Responsibilities
Under supervision, assess residents' needs, provide health services, and clinical follow-up, while contributing to their well-being and collaborating with the team, including supervising resident attendants.
Your role as an Indispensable:
Under the supervision of the Regional Health and Compliance Director, you will play a key role in assessing health services provided to residents in different residences across Quebec.
- Contribute to assessing residents' needs and implementing care plans
- Monitor the validity of work routes and report any inaccuracies to the Health Services Coordinator
- Ensure the hygiene, care, comfort, and safety of residents, while respecting the establishment's standards
- Communicate health and behavior information about residents to the care team and following shifts
- Keep clinical files up-to-date according to established procedures
- Distribute, administer, and follow up on medications according to prescriptions
- Follow established work routes
- Collaborate with the Health Services team, supervise resident attendants, and support colleagues to ensure a safe and high-quality health environment
- Respond quickly to emergency situations when necessary
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in an auxiliary nurse position
- Experience in geriatric care is an asset
- DEP in auxiliary nursing and membership in good standing with the OIIAQ (mandatory)
- Up-to-date training in PDSP, RCR/DEA, and general first aid (mandatory)
- Valid driver's license (mandatory)
- Reliable car for travel (mandatory)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for smooth communication with teams, residents, and their families
- Ability to be away from home for indeterminate periods
