OR

  • Have 4 years of relevant experience in the maintenance and repair of powered equipment and auxiliary equipment as an automotive mechanic, diesel mechanic, heavy machinery mechanic, or an equivalent title.

Each block of two missing years of relevant experience can be compensated by one year of additional relevant education, at a higher level than the minimum education required for the job class.

An ASP or relevant DEP with 600 to 900 hours can compensate for one missing year of relevant experience.

An ASP or relevant DEP with at least 900 hours can compensate for two missing years of relevant experience.

Additionally, the candidate must

  • Possess a Class 5 driver's license;
  • Possess Canadian citizenship, permanent resident status, or a work permit issued by the competent federal authority to hold a position in the Quebec public service;
  • Have appropriate French language skills for the functions.
