- Work schedule : 38.75 hours per week
The challenges we propose to you
- Prepare and assemble new vehicles (electrical wiring, installation of various components);
- Repair and maintain mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems;
- Repair and maintain the main parts of different machines;
- Perform calibration and setup of equipment;
- Carry out inspection work and detect defects;
- Implement the Preventive Maintenance Program (PEP) of the Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ).

- Salary:
31.91 $ per hour * A 15% attraction and retention bonus will be added to the salary.

Disparities: The person holding a position in the Ville-Marie sector receives an annual allowance, in accordance with article 10-43.00 of the collective agreement for workers. This annual amount, which varies between $7,416 and $10,609, is determined using the declaration form completed by the employee upon entering their position or during any change related to dependents.

The candidate must meet the requirements of the position
- Have 4 years of experience in the performance of the duties of Class II mechanic, in that capacity or in an equivalent position, which has allowed the candidate to acquire in-depth knowledge of the operation of most types of vehicles or machinery powered by internal combustion engines fueled by gasoline or oil, as well as the operation and use of the various measuring instruments or precision equipment used for adjusting or calibrating their main parts.
OR
- Hold a Professional Studies Diploma (DEP) with specialization in heavy vehicle mechanics, construction equipment mechanics, automotive mechanics, or another relevant specialization, or hold a certificate of studies whose equivalence is recognized by the competent authority;
AND
- Have 6 years of experience in the performance of the duties of the mechanical maintenance assistant class, in that capacity or in an equivalent position.
OR
- Have 8 years of relevant experience in the maintenance and repair of motorized equipment and auxiliary equipment as an automotive mechanic, diesel mechanic, heavy machinery mechanic, or equivalent position.
Each missing block of two years of relevant experience can be compensated by one year of additional relevant education, at a level higher than the minimum education required for admission to the employment class.
An ASP or DEP relevant to the position, comprising between 600 and 900 hours, can compensate for one year of missing relevant experience.
An ASP or DEP relevant to the position, comprising at least 900 hours, can compensate for two years of missing relevant experience.
Additionally, the candidate must
- Possess a Class 5 driver's license;
- Possess Canadian citizenship, permanent resident status, or a work permit issued by the competent federal authority to occupy a position in the public service of Quebec;
- Have appropriate knowledge of French for the functions.
These positions are to be filled in the following cities: Ville-Marie, Rouyn-Noranda, Abitibi-Témiscamingue
