Mandate of the unit

The Development and Training Service is responsible for implementing specific development paths by function, taking into account the mission and organizational priorities. To this end, it ensures the development and implementation of training programs and activities. The service is also responsible for annual planning and the management of the budget allocated to the training of Sûreté du Québec members.

Here’s what your daily job would look like

  • Monitor and control expenses related to training and human resource development activities
  • Organize logistics for internal and external training
  • Inform managers and employees about training activities and administrative procedures
  • Contribute to activities related to the collection of training needs, the planning of the SGPDRH, its implementation, and reporting
  • Contribute to the implementation of the Study Support Program
  • Estimate the costs of training
  • Report on expenses
  • Ensure the granting and tracking of activity codes
  • Compensation, hours, and working conditions

We offer a minimum hourly rate of $23.04. A 6.5% surcharge is added to this rate to compensate for certain social benefits.

Hybrid remote work is possible, depending on organizational tags.

In addition to working during the day, Monday to Friday, the job allows for flexible hours, promoting the balance between your work, studies, and personal life, with adapted hours:

  • Regular schedule of 14 hours/week during study sessions;
  • Schedule of 21 hours/week during reading weeks;
  • Schedule of 35 hours/week during the summer and holiday periods.

Finally, it is possible that, upon completion of your studies and under certain conditions, you may participate in a special selection process to access a regular or occasional job.
