General information STUDENT JOB – Administrative Support Agent A student job is available at 380 Saint-Antoine West Street, Montreal, in a hybrid mode.

The Life Sciences and Environmental Technologies Division is responsible for supporting the economic development of these two sectors.

The life sciences sector includes pharmaceutical companies, health-related biotechnologies, medical equipment, natural health products, and contract manufacturing and research services.

The division also supports the development of environmental technologies, particularly clean technologies, eco-responsible business practices, circular economy, and sustainable business development. This sector includes companies that produce goods and services aimed at measuring, preventing, limiting, minimizing, or correcting environmental impacts.

The division accompanies companies in the realization of their investment, innovation, and global value chain penetration projects. It ensures inter-ministerial coordination of major projects under its responsibility.

Here’s what your daily job would look like

  • Manage documentation, including the classification and declassification of electronic documents;
  • Support professionals in fulfilling their mandates, including tracking financial aid agreements and verifying payment requests;
  • Ensure financial tracking, invoice payment, and production of the division's financial statement;
  • Assign mandates to responsible individuals, manage access, and monitor colleagues;
  • Perform linguistic review and layout of various deliverables;
  • Verify variable schedule sheets and recorded absences in the team's system;
  • Perform other related administrative tasks, such as ordering office supplies, registering and booking for events and travel, organizing logistics for meetings or training, transmitting documents, etc.

We offer a minimum hourly rate of $21.65. A 6.5% surcharge is added to this rate to compensate for certain social benefits.

In addition to working during the day, Monday to Friday, the job allows for flexible hours, promoting the balance between your work, studies, and personal life, with adapted schedules:

  • Regular schedule of 14 hours per week during study sessions;
  • Schedule of 21 hours per week during reading weeks;
  • Schedule of 35 hours per week during the summer and holiday periods.

  • Advanced knowledge of French (spoken and written);
  • Good knowledge of the Office suite, SharePoint applications, and Teams;

Requirements to hold the student position

  • In addition to matching the above profile, you must:
  • Be enrolled full-time (or part-time if you are in the penultimate or final session of your study program), in one of the following fields of study:
  • College Diploma (DEC) in Office Techniques
  • Professional Diploma (DEP) in Secretarial
  • Or any other relevant diploma
  • Be legally authorized to work in Canada;
