Your Responsibilities

  • Ensure the quality inspection of overhead line construction works, including clearing, anchoring, testing and drilling, material distribution, installation of foundations, stays and wooden portal frames, cable laying, assembly and erection of towers, as well as the final inspection of the works;
  • Assist the manager in the execution of the works by ensuring compliance with quality standards, regulations and environmental and OHS laws, as well as HQ guidelines;
  • Administer certain changes to the contracts and mandates entrusted to them;
  • Ensure coordination of the different parties involved in the construction site;
  • Supervise the activities of work supervision to ensure their quality;
  • Provide technical assistance to ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the approved plans and estimates;
  • Follow up on the construction schedules and analyze the progress;
  • Follow up on the technical aspects (QMT, NC, technical dossier, etc.);
  • Ensure coordination of the different parties involved in the construction site;
  • Follow up on requests to the operator and coordinate the elaboration of the work steps;
  • Participate in coordination meetings;
  • Provide the required technical expertise to support the Work Chiefs and Site Managers in their functions, from the preparation of tenders to the closure of the site;
  • Assist the interface between the construction site and the DIT, respecting the roles and responsibilities of each;
  • Master the project by appropriating the contents of the contractual documents in order to highlight all errors / problems and/or anomalies related to the project;
  • Be the technical reference at the construction site;
  • Participate in the technical dossier follow-up of the construction sites as well as the work methods;
  • Appropriate the requirements of the project and its particularities such as technical, environmental, quality and safety and participate in the elaboration of the monitoring programs;
  • Verify the quality of the plans, estimates and their compliance with the applicable standards;
  • Comment on the quality plan of the contractors;
  • Ensure that the quality plan is applied in terms of technical, safety and environmental requirements;
  • Participate in the writing and processing of the necessary reports on the entire works, such as the progress of the works, the follow-up of the supply, the workforce, the material, the complementary works, the damages to the property and the environment, the technical defects, the questions, technical modifications (QMT) and those related to the quality system procedures;
  • Participate in the writing of the non-conformity reports following the monitoring of the works and ensure their follow-up;
  • Ensure that no non-conformity and defects will hinder the commissioning;
  • Perform any other related task.

Qualifications

  • Your Profile
  • DEC in civil engineering or relevant experience;
  • Have a minimum of three (3) years of experience;
  • Have a multidisciplinary profile;
  • Have experience in work supervision;
  • Experience in Project Management (an asset);
  • Have knowledge of MCT and Autocad software (an asset);
  • Have a valid driver's license and have access to a car (class 5);
  • Valid ASP construction card;
  • Have good computer skills;
  • Good mastery of the French language (spoken and written);
  • Be available for travel anywhere in Quebec;
  • You are resourceful, versatile, autonomous and organized.
