ABOUT THE POSITION
Global Banking Technology & Operations (GBTO) provides daily services to the commercial units of Global Banking & Investor Solutions (GBIS) and their clients. With IT and Operations teams working side by side under the same leadership, the goal of GBTO is to meet the evolving needs of its clients and market demands, while anticipating technological advancements to accelerate and support the transformation of GBIS activities. GBTO is at the heart of this technological and operational challenge.
The Loan Servicing Group oversees the recording and administration of loans for Société Générale's New York branch. The department consists of two main groups:
- Closers, responsible for setting up operations in the bank's system (LIQ),
- Servicers, responsible for the administrative management of loans (notices, financing, interest and commissions).
- WHAT WILL YOUR DAY BE LIKE?
Agent role – Servicing activities in relation to borrowers and lending groups.
- Review, verify, and authorize daily loan transactions
- Perform interest and commission accrual analysis and reconciliation
- Manage loan recording, including commercial paper, non-performing loans, and direct/syndicated facilities as an agent
- Prepare operation notices to be faxed to all participants/clients for loan confirmation
- Prepare/review forms related to new draws, increases, renewals, partial repayments, reductions of commitments, etc., before obtaining approval signatures from loan officers
- Ensure responsibility for daily fund transfers related to loans
- Prepare interest and commission invoicing on all direct/agent loans, bill clients, and send pro-rata shares to participants
- Manage the recording of risk participation sales
- Process interest, commitment fees, and investigate discrepancies when necessary
- Prepare/account for required GL (General Ledger) entries
- Review various reports generated by the systems to ensure adequate monitoring of facilities
- Reconcile opened treasury accounts, pending accounts, and overdue items

- Language skills:
Proficiency in English, both orally and in writing, is required as the person in this position will regularly collaborate with colleagues and partners located in the United States.
REQUIRED PROFILE COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS: Essential:
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of previous experience in commercial lending using the LoanIQ application
- Experience in agency servicing
- Demonstrated experience in supporting a variety of portfolios (as an Agent and Participant)
- Knowledge of financial products (including loans, guarantees, and standby letters of credit, etc.)
- Knowledge of loan products, cash payment principles in USD and foreign currencies
- Good mastery of Excel
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
- Attention to detail and precision
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Assets:
- Experience in international banking
- Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or similar discipline
- Languages: English, French
